Panos London promotes the participation of poor and marginalised people in national and international development debates through media and communication projects. We are part of the worldwide Panos Network of independent institutes working to ensure that information is used more effectively to foster debate, pluralism and democracy.

Panos London Executive Director, Mark Wilson, sets out the roadmap for greater transparency through communication in development at an address to donors and NGOs today. The event is part of the charity's five-year strategy to raise awareness on how open communication is essential for improving the lives of the world's poorest people by giving them a voice in their own development.
Panos London's mission is to stimulate informed and inclusive public debate around key development issues in order to foster sustainable development. During 2008 we continued that mission, with the aim of ensuring the perspectives of marginalised people are included within development decisions.
