Panos London is mainly funded through external grants. We would like to thank all our donors for their generous support which underpins our unique programme of activities.
Panos London is in partnership with UKaid from the Department of International Development (DFID). Panos London would like to thank DFID for its ongoing support of our work through its Partnership Programme Arrangements (PPA). DFID also provides valuable project funding for other areas of our work including RELAY: Communicating Research and the Climate Change Media Partnership. DFID supports long-term programmes, working directly in over 150 countries worldwide, to help tackle the underlying causes of poverty and works to build a global partnership for those working in development. It is aiming to meet the United Nations' eight 'Millennium Development Goals', by the 2015 deadline. To achieve the goal of poverty reduction DFID works in partnership with governments, civil society, the private sector and others.
Panos London is grateful for the longstanding financial support provided by Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency). The aim of Swedish aid is to encourage environments, and create conditions, that enable poor people to improve their lives. Development policy and development cooperation are the two pillars by which Sida seeks to achieve results in its global development work with special priority being given to three areas: democracy and human rights, gender equality and the role of women in development, climate and environment.
Panos London is editorially independent. Its information outputs and products reflect a wide range of opinion and debate and often include conflicting views. It strives to include the voices of poor and marginalised people.
All our work is informed by a set of core values:
